Garmin Malaysia Introduces CIRQA Screen-Free Fitness and Health Tracker

KUALA LUMPUR — Garmin Malaysia has announced the release of the CIRQA Smart Band, a screen-free wearable designed for continuous health, wellness, and activity tracking without requiring an ongoing paid subscription. The device marks Garmin’s first screenless fitness band entry, targeting users seeking uninterrupted metrics tracking without display notifications or smartwatch alerts.

Screenless Architecture and Wearability

The CIRQA Smart Band focuses on low-friction, continuous monitoring through an inconspicuous, screen-free form factor. By eliminating an interactive display, the hardware reduces visual distractions while extending operational battery life up to 10 days on a single charge.

The wearable features a lightweight module enclosed in a soft fabric band, designed for around-the-clock comfort during athletic training, daily tasks, and sleep recovery. The band is manufactured in two primary sizing options (S/M and L/XL) and can be worn around the wrist or attached to the upper arm depending on user preference or sport type.

For user interaction, the device relies on a single side physical button and internal motion sensors. Users can initiate manual tracking for specific activities via the physical button or allow the device’s internal algorithms to detect and log exercise automatically. Collected activity data is transmitted wirelessly to the Garmin Connect application, where users can review, categorize, or modify session details. The system uses these manual confirmation edits to refine future automated activity classification.

Health and Biometric Monitoring Integration

Operating as a 24/7 wellness tracker, the CIRQA Smart Band integrates Garmin’s biometric sensor suite to collect continuous health metrics. Built-in sensors measure optical wrist-based heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (Pulse Ox), body stress levels, and skin temperature variations during sleep. The collected data feeds into Garmin’s proprietary Body Battery energy monitoring metric, providing users with daily estimates of physiological energy reserves.

For female health tracking, the device utilizes overnight skin temperature monitoring alongside logged symptoms in the Garmin Connect app to deliver predictions for menstrual cycles and past ovulation estimates.

Sleep recovery analysis forms a major component of the wearable’s feature set. By tracking sleep architecture without the bulk or light emission of a traditional smartwatch display, the band records detailed sleep stages, duration metrics, heart rate variability (HRV), respiration rates, and daytime naps to compute an overall nightly sleep score.

Training Functionality and Malaysian Market Availability

Despite its minimal footprint, the CIRQA Smart Band incorporates performance metrics tailored for endurance and outdoor discipline tracking, such as running, walking, cycling, and yoga. The band supports manual tracking across more than 80 distinct sport profiles. While the hardware lacks onboard satellite receiver hardware, it features Connected GPS capabilities, utilizing a paired iOS or Android smartphone to map outdoor routes, record pace, and calculate distance. LiveTrack location sharing is also supported via a connected mobile phone for real-time safety monitoring during outdoor activities.

Athletes can access advanced training metrics within the Garmin Connect ecosystem, including Training Readiness scores, VO2 max estimations, HRV status, and overall training status. These indicators offer insights into acute workout impact, cumulative fatigue, and recommended recovery times between training sessions.
