Le Tour de Langkawi 2023 (LTdL) Welcomes Three New Dynamic Partners

[Kuala Lumpur, 6 September 2023] – The National Sports Council (MSN), organizers of Le Tour de Langkawi 2023 (LTdL), is thrilled to announce three new partnering sponsors that are set to elevate the prestigious Asian cycling event to new heights. Scheduled to take place from September 23 to September 30, LTdL 2023 is gearing up to captivate audiences worldwide with the addition of TikTok Malaysia as the official social media sponsor partner, Dahua Technology as the official supplier of communication equipment and services, and PACE as the official clothing and merchandise supplier for this 27th edition.

Dato’ Ahmad Shapawi Ismail, Director General of MSN, expressed his enthusiasm for these new collaborations, emphasizing the impact they will have on the ProSeries status tour. He stated, “MSN has finalized agreements with these three esteemed sponsors and anticipates further exciting announcements in the near future. Today, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to TikTok Malaysia, Dahua Technology, and PACE for joining us in making LTdL 2023 an unforgettable experience.”

The announcement ceremony held at MSN witnessed the presence of key figures, including Darren Quek, Content and Operations Manager of Sports TikTok Malaysia; Simon Yew Chia Wei, Chief Executive Officer of Mal-Tel Holding Berhad; and Teoh Chia Chun, Executive Director of PACE.

TikTok Malaysia’s sponsorship promises to expand LTdL’s reach by leveraging their extensive social media platforms. This collaboration will involve live broadcasts, creative LTdL content, and alignment with current trends to maximize viewership statistics. Shapawi shared, “To date, we have broadcasted a total of 49 LTdL 2023 videos, garnering over 1.2 million views.”

Dahua Technology, with its cutting-edge radio communication equipment and body cameras, will provide invaluable support to the commissaires, particularly motorcycle commissars responsible for recording critical race incidents as evidence. Embracing modern technology, LTdL 2023 will debut the Push To Talk On Cellular (PTTOC) system, replacing the traditional ‘trunking’ radio system, ensuring more efficient communication throughout the event.

Meanwhile, PACE apparels will serve as the exclusive supplier of official clothing and souvenir items, including the highly coveted Tour leaders’ jerseys made from top-quality materials. Shapawi highlighted the global exposure this collaboration will offer, as LTdL will be broadcasted live through international channels.

As the countdown to LTdL 2023 continues, anticipation is growing for the event, themed ‘Beat The Heat.’ Shapawi noted that five teams have requested to arrive early to acclimatize to the weather and devise their race strategies.
