Taipei – The Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center buzzed with energy as the 2025 Taipei International Cycle Show (TAIPEI CYCLE) and TaiSPO (Sports & Fitness Taiwan) drew to a successful close on 29 March 2025. Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the four-day event attracted an impressive gathering of industry professionals, with over 4,500 international buyers from more than 80 countries exploring the latest innovations in cycling and sports technology.

The exhibitions served as a dynamic platform for global networking, with Japan, China, the United States, South Korea, and Singapore emerging as the top five buyer nations. TaiSPO’s focused business matchmaking sessions proved particularly fruitful, facilitating 86 meetings between 55 exhibitors and 19 buyers from emerging markets including India, Turkey, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and Bulgaria. These interactions underscored growing international demand for smart sports solutions and sustainable cycling technologies.

Innovation Takes Center Stage
This year’s TaiSPO made waves with its “Sport-bilities” Sports Technology Startup Zone, a collaborative initiative with ASPN Sports Tech Accelerator that showcased 11 cutting-edge startups. Among them, AIGYM stood out with its AI-driven fitness training module designed to bring intelligent exercise management to local communities. The company’s real-time monitoring system attracted significant attention from international buyers looking for next-generation fitness solutions.
Emerging brands found particular success at the event. VERVE, the renowned fitness apparel brand, effectively expanded its corporate client base by promoting its specialized uniform solutions. Meanwhile, Pilates equipment manufacturer MÜVON capitalized on the platform to establish crucial connections in the Japanese and South Korean markets, while expressing strong confidence in Taiwan’s growing fitness sector.

Industry Insights and Future Trends
The “Fitness For All” forum emerged as a highlight, drawing more than 280 fitness industry professionals. The comprehensive program examined global market strategies during its morning session, while the afternoon’s “Taiwan Fitness Session” provided practical insights into facility management, payment systems, and regulatory considerations – particularly valuable for small and medium-sized fitness operators.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, TaiSPO introduced several special initiatives that resonated with attendees. The diving section’s decision to waive entry fees for certified divers received widespread praise from 18 participating diving brands, who reported meaningful cross-industry collaborations. The commemorative “Taiwan Strongman 5 AS ONE” competition brought together fitness enthusiasts and professional athletes, with equipment providers like VICTORY and KAWA STEEL noting the event’s success in bridging the gap between manufacturers, researchers, and end-users.
