KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Solarvest, a prominent clean energy provider, has announced the launch of the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025, which is set to become Malaysia’s first pickleball tournament to be powered entirely by 100% renewable energy. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 2 to 3, 2025, at Picklefy in Shah Alam.
This initiative extends Solarvest’s commitment to sustainability beyond energy infrastructure into community sports. The company emphasizes that each megawatt (MW) of power supplied to the tournament will be certified by Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), underscoring the integration of athletic competition with environmental responsibility.
The official launch ceremony at Picklefy was attended by Jack Tan, Group Vice President of Global Sales, Assets & Marketing at Solarvest Holdings Berhad, along with Solarvest’s ambassador, national badminton player Ng Tze Yong. Key partners from Baseline AFA and Picklefy were also present. The tournament is expected to feature a lineup of personalities and competitive pickleball players, including former national squash player Delia Arnold, entertainer Jang Han Byul, and pickleball players Natalie Loke and Khoo Eryang.

Jack Tan commented on the event, stating that Solarvest views clean energy as integral to how communities live, work, and engage in leisure activities. He expressed that supporting the Solarvest Pickleball Cup reflects the company’s belief in fostering vibrant and healthy communities while advancing sustainable practices. With an anticipated participation of 480 players, Tan hopes the tournament will be a high-energy and environmentally conscious pickleball event for Malaysia.
Tan further added that by integrating sustainability into a dynamic and social sport like pickleball, Solarvest aims to stimulate conversations around climate action and encourage more sustainable lifestyles. He described the tournament as a new chapter for Solarvest in its efforts to make clean energy a part of everyday life.
The Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025 is open to the public and is inviting players from across Southeast Asia to compete. The tournament will feature Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles categories. Competitors will vie for a prize pool exceeding RM35,000, which includes cash prizes, professional-grade paddles, and eco-friendly medals crafted by sustainability partner NatureLoop. Winners will also receive a limited-edition Solarvest Pickleball Cup Puma jersey and other gifts.
