PUMA’s First-Ever Car Club Event in Southeast Asia a Success

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – August 30, 2023 – PUMA’s first-ever Car Club event in Southeast Asia was a roaring success, merging motorsport, style, entertainment, and gastronomy in a spectacular show of passion.

The event, held at Sentul Depot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, attracted over 1,000 attendees who were treated to a day of adrenaline-pumping activities, including:

  • A live car show featuring some of the most iconic cars from the world of motorsport
  • A chance to meet and greet PUMA’s motorsport ambassadors, including Choo Sung-hoon
  • Thrilling performances by local DJs and musicians
  • A delicious selection of food and drinks
The Tamiya Corner: Miniature motors were in full throttle at the Tamiya station, where fans had the chance to race mini track cars, tapping into their inner child and competitive racer.
Game On: The PlayStation booths turned many into racers for 1the day with gripping racing games that gave a taste of the speedway from the comfort of gaming chairs.
Dance Explosion: Singaporean actor and musician Tosh Rock, alongside Malaysia’s hottest dance crew Zeppo Youngsterz, energised the scene with synchronised moves that told tales of speed, precision, and style – much like a thrilling Motorsport race.
BMX Magic: BMX Flatland performers took the stage, wowing the crowd with gravity-defying stunts and seamless moves.
After-Party Vibes: When the sun went down, DJ Ashley Lau turned up the decibels, sending waves of rhythm across the venue, ensuring that spirits were high, and feet were kept grooving.
Musical Rhythms: The atmosphere was electric with the sounds of Malaysia’s beloved musician, Hullera, and the iconic rock band, Pop Shuvit. They set the tone, echoing the heartbeats of the excited attendees and sounds of a roaring engine.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the appearance of Choo Sung-hoon, a.k.a. Sexyama. The popular MMA fighter and PUMA SEA Motorsport Ambassador was a huge hit with the fans, and his energetic participation helped to set the tone for the event.

Choo spoke about his passion for motorsport and how it is similar to MMA in terms of the need for focus and determination. He also expressed his excitement about working with PUMA and helping to promote the brand’s motorsports lifestyle.

“This is my first time here. I’ve always wanted to visit and meet Malaysians, and I’m happy to be able to be here today. I’m surprised that so many of you appeared tonight and I hope everyone continues to show love and support to PUMA,” said Choo.
