KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – PUMA Malaysia has announced the launch of its first-ever PUMA ULTRA 6 Tournament, a 7v7 football competition designed to foster local amateur football and provide a platform for emerging talents to showcase their abilities. The high-speed tournament is scheduled to take place from August 2 to 3, 2025, at Arena Sukan Kuala Lumpur.
This initiative is part of PUMA’s broader commitment to re-engaging with grassroots football in Malaysia. The tournament aims to create an accessible and competitive environment for everyday athletes to demonstrate their skills, connect with other players, and sustain the spirit of the game at a foundational level.
Registration for the tournament is open to amateur football clubs nationwide. Following the registration period, four standout teams will be selected to compete in the main event. Each selected team will be provided with an exclusive PUMA Football Kit, ensuring they are outfitted for the competition. A significant incentive for individual performance is also on offer: the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will receive a year’s supply of PUMA football boots, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to supporting and encouraging local talent on their athletic journeys.
The timing of the tournament coincides with the launch of the all-new PUMA ULTRA 6 football boots. This provides participating players with a firsthand opportunity to test the latest in speed-focused footwear on a competitive stage.

Aspiring teams who believe they possess the necessary skills and teamwork to compete can enter the tournament through a specific submission process. This involves registering the team via this link and creating a creative video to be posted on their Instagram feed, explaining why their team deserves a spot in the competition. Participants are also required to follow @puma.malaysia and @myfootballrepublic on Instagram and tag #PUMAMY and #FuelYourFast in their post’s caption. The submission period for video entries is from July 4 to July 13, 2025.
