Global athletics leader New Balance has officially launched its 2026 Australian Open (AO) Collection, marking its third consecutive year as the tournament’s Official Performance Apparel and Footwear provider. The collection is designed to capture the vibrant spirit of the Melbourne summer while delivering high-level technical performance for athletes on the world stage.

For the first time in the partnership’s history, New Balance is making the AO range available globally, ensuring that tennis enthusiasts in Malaysia and beyond can access the same gear worn by the sport’s elite. The collection is now available at the New Balance Pavilion KL, IOI City Mall, and via the brand’s official Malaysian e-commerce platform.
A Celebration of “Aussie” Tennis Culture
The 2026 range serves as a visual tribute to Australia’s deep-rooted tennis heritage. The design language utilizes a sophisticated color palette dominated by Navy Blue, accented with pastel shades of purple, green, and mustard yellow. This aesthetic is intended to mirror the “Velocity Blue” of the Rod Laver Arena courts and the sunny, energetic atmosphere of Melbourne Park.

Key additions to the 2026 lineup include lifestyle-focused cuts that bridge the gap between court performance and street fashion. Notable new items include the Coastal Fleece Cardigan and Short, a bold Rugby Shirt, and a series of Graphic T-shirts. These graphics include playful nods to the “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie / Oi, Oi, Oi” chant—a staple of the Melbourne crowds—and illustrations of the iconic Australian hard courts.

“Our 2026 collection is a true celebration of tennis culture and the iconic Aussie spirit,” said Julie Pike, Senior Vice President of Global Apparel at New Balance. “Inspired by the passion of athletes and fans alike, this collection captures the energy of Melbourne’s courts. We are excited to bring this spirit to fans worldwide through a dynamic range that is designed to be lived in everywhere.”
