KUALA LUMPUR, 6 May 2024: The second edition of the Trail Titans Kiara Hill lived up to its name, with runners tackling a challenging yet enjoyable course through Taman Rimba Kiara.

Min Xiang Lee, a newcomer to trail running, stole the show in the 16km Men’s Open, obliterating the course record by a staggering 10 minutes with a time of 2:07:20. The previous record was held by Ben Hails at 2:17:58. Xiang Lee, a seasoned road racer, credited his familiarity with the training grounds for his success.
Another course record was broken in the 16km Men’s Veteran category by Yakov Kozlov, a resident engineer who finished in 2:13:47. While falling short of Xiang Lee’s blistering pace, Kozlov highlighted the joy of discovering new trails within his usual running grounds.

The event wasn’t just about elite runners. The introduction of a new 5km category attracted over 200 participants, including families. Mohd. Zamri and his 12-year-old daughter, Qalesya Zandra, exemplified the family spirit, both finishing the 5km with smiles. Zamri even found himself following his daughter’s energetic pace towards the end!
Winners across all categories received medals and cash prizes, with top finishers also getting free entry to the next Trail Titans event. Xiang Lee received an additional RM500 bonus for his record-breaking feat.
With Gloria Ng, Director of Dirigo Events, expressing delight at the turnout, anticipation is high for the upcoming announcements of the next Trail Titans race.
