The National Sports Council (MSN) announced that Bubbles O2, a local natural mineral water brand, will be one of the main sponsors of the Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2023. The race will be held from 23 to 30 September this year.
As part of the sponsorship, Bubbles O2 will be the title sponsor of the ‘Most Combative Rider’ award, which will be presented to the rider who shows the most strength and tenacity in each stage of the race.
“MSN is confident that with Bubbles O2 as the sponsor of this ‘Most Combative Rider’ award, it will not only have a positive impact on the quality of LTdL 2023, but will also boost the Bubbles O2 brand to a wider audience,” said MSN Director General, Dato’ Ahmad Shapawi Ismail.
Bubbles O2 Executive Chairman, Tuan Haji Ariffin Marzuki, said that the company is excited to be associated with the LTdL, which is one of the most prestigious cycling events in Asia. The Bubbles O2 brand is the only mineral water in the country with unique oxygenated properties and is branded as a premium yet affordable drink that is fast becoming the popular choice among Malaysians.

The LTdL 2023 will be a ProSeries level race, which means that it will attract some of the best cyclists in the world. The race will start in Kerteh and will cover a total distance of 1,277.1km, passing through 11 of the 12 states in the Peninsular Malaysia.
Teams in Flux as Excitement Builds
A total of 22 teams will participate in the race, including two WorldTeam status teams, eight ProTeams, 10 UCI Continental teams, and two Continental teams including the Malaysian national squad.
The race is expected to be a closely contested affair, with the riders battling for the title of overall champion. The ‘Most Combative Rider’ award is also expected to be hotly contested, with many riders vying for the honour.
