Paramount Property Launches Paramount Cup 2026 with RM110,000 Prize Pool and APP Asia Qualification Status

SUBANG JAYA — Property developer Paramount Property has officially unveiled the second edition of the Paramount Cup, expanding the local pickleball tournament to accommodate over 900 participants. Scheduled to take place from October 22 to 25, 2026, at PLAYA Racquet Club at PARC Subang, the event features a prize pool exceeding RM110,000, establishing it as one of the largest financial purses for the sport in Malaysia.

Youth Division Expansion and International Qualifier Designation

A primary update for the 2026 staging is the introduction of eight dedicated junior competition categories aimed at grassroots talent development:

  • Under-10 (U10): Co-ed Singles & Co-ed Doubles
  • Under-12 (U12): Co-ed Singles & Co-ed Doubles
  • Under-14 (U14): Co-ed Singles & Co-ed Doubles
  • Under-16 (U16): Boys Singles & Boys Doubles

Beyond local age-group expansion, the Paramount Cup 2026 has been designated as an official qualifying stop for the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) Asia Tour. Organised in collaboration with the APP, the qualification status offers top-performing Malaysian athletes direct competitive pathways to international circuit points and regional tour spots.

Tournament operations will be managed by a Professional Pickleball Association (PPA)-certified Tournament Director to ensure standardisation across international officiating rules, draw seeding, and match logistics.

Community Impact Framework and Venue Partnerships

The tournament framework incorporates a charitable matching initiative benefiting the Shelter Home for Children. Venue partner PLAYA Racquet Club will allocate RM5 from every athlete entry fee, which will be matched ringgit-for-ringgit by Paramount Property.

Beh Chun Chong, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Corporation Berhad, noted that the initiative aligns with the developer’s corporate social responsibility targets by linking recreational sports participation to local community support.
