Kuala Lumpur – Asia’s vibrant fusion of fitness and music, The Music Run, commemorated its 10th anniversary in Malaysia with an electrifying event that drew over 15,000 enthusiastic participants to the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday, May 17,2025.
Originating in Kuala Lumpur in 2014, The Music Run has become a regional phenomenon, blending the energy of a music festival with the benefits of a 5km run. Its signature “Sound Track” route, amplified by strategically placed speakers, provided a unique and high-octane experience for all attendees.

The 10th-anniversary edition featured a specially curated LIVE THE BEAT Festival, spearheaded by The Music Run’s own E-Squad – a dynamic team of emcees and renowned DJs – who kept the energy levels soaring from the starting line to the finish festival. The night culminated in a high-energy live concert showcasing some of Malaysia’s hottest musical talents.
The concert lineup kicked off with the smooth R&B vibes of Alex Ungku (@alexungku), followed by the captivating pop melodies of homegrown singer-songwriter Claudia Tan (@claudiaaatan). The festival then reached its peak with a full-scale party led by Malaysia’s top DJ, DJ Blink (@blink_mys), who delivered infectious beats and the year’s biggest hits, truly embodying The Music Run’s defining spirit of “Run, Music, Party.”

Organized by Fresh Events Asia Sdn. Bhd., The Music Run has now hosted 40 events globally, with 28 of those taking place across Asia, welcoming over 350,000 runners to its unique, music-fueled experience. The event has successfully tapped into urban Gen Z and Millennial communities, fostering a celebration of positive energy and an uplifting rush of dopamine. Over the past decade, The Music Run has cultivated a large and loyal fan base, with participants eagerly returning year after year for its safe, alcohol-free, and inclusive environment that champions an active lifestyle.

Having started its journey in Kuala Lumpur, The Music Run has expanded its reach to Singapore, Taiwan, China, and other countries. The event is set to continue its international expansion with upcoming events in Dubai and the Philippines, further empowering communities to embrace running, music, and an active lifestyle.
