KUALA LUMPUR – Skechers, The Comfort Technology Company™ and a global leader in performance and lifestyle footwear, has once again been named the Official Footwear for the Malaysian Contingent to the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2025 in Thailand, scheduled to take place from December 9 to 20, 2025.
This renewed collaboration with the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM), which follows their successful partnership for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, was officially announced at a press conference held at Skechers The Exchange TRX Mall. The ceremony highlighted both organizations’ shared commitment to empowering national athletes and celebrating Malaysian sporting excellence on the international stage. The total retail value of the sponsorship, which will equip Team Malaysia with 2,000 pairs of footwear, stands at RM922,538.

The partnership was officially launched by Y.B Puan Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, alongside Y.Bhg. Datuk Mohd Nasir Ali, Secretary General of OCM, Y.Bhg. Datuk Wira Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, Deputy President of OCM, and Zann Lee, Managing Director of Skechers Southeast Asia.
Comfort Technology for Peak Off-Field Performance
As part of the substantial sponsorship, Skechers Malaysia will furnish Team Malaysia’s 2,000 athletes and officials with state-of-the-art footwear. These shoes are specifically intended for the official March-In Ceremony and for off-field activities throughout the duration of the Games, ensuring athletes receive optimal comfort and support during long hours of travel, preparation, and non-competitive duties.

Each recipient will be provided with a pair of Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® Shoes. This innovative technology is designed for effortless wearing, allowing athletes to quickly transition between activities without bending over. Crucially, these models feature Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® cushioned insoles, providing lasting comfort and support to ensure athletes stay relaxed and ready between their demanding competition schedules.
The sponsorship package includes models from Skechers’ acclaimed performance lines:
- Men’s Footwear: Max Cushioning Premier 2.0 and GOrun Elevate 2.0.
- Women’s Footwear: Max Cushioning Elite 2.0.
