Alongside these sporting spectacles, The Kallang solidified its position as Singapore’s excitement epicentre by hosting performances from global icons like Lady Gaga, who chose the location as her sole stop in Asia. Keith Magnus, Chairman, The Kallang Group, shared his vision: “The launch of The Kallang marks an exciting new chapter for us. Over the past three years, this precinct has transformed into a dynamic hub for world-class sport, entertainment and community life, hosting over 4,000 event days and welcoming more than nine million visitors… Our ambition is for The Kallang to become the excitement epicentre of Singapore – a place where global acts, local heroes and everyday Singaporeans unite to share unforgettable experiences that strengthen our national fabric.

Why “The Kallang”? Honouring a National Symbol

The decision to adopt “The Kallang” is rooted in the location’s deep emotional and historical significance to Singapore. In the collective consciousness, “Kallang” is more than a geographic name; it is a powerful symbol of national pride, representing a space where people have historically united through celebrations, competitions, and shared experiences like the National Day Parade.

The transition to The Kallang respects this rich sporting legacy while signalling an evolution—broadening the identity to embrace the collective memory while strengthening the belief that sport, entertainment, lifestyle, and community are the four essential pillars of a dynamic ecosystem.
