Over 14,000 Participants Live the Beat at the 11th Edition of The Music Run by AFFIN

The Bukit Jalil National Stadium was transformed into a massive celebration of fitness and sound as more than 14,000 participants gathered for the 11th edition of The Music Run by AFFIN Kuala Lumpur 2026. Often referred to as “Asia’s Fittest Party,” the event continues to redefine the traditional fun run by blending a high-energy 5km course with a full-scale music festival experience.

Since its debut in Kuala Lumpur in 2014, the event has grown into a global phenomenon, hosting over 40 events worldwide and reaching more than 360,000 runners. The 2026 edition in Malaysia proved to be one of its most successful yet, drawing a diverse crowd of Gen Z and Millennial participants who jogged, danced, and sang their way through a music-filled Saturday evening.

A Star Studded Lineup at the Heart of the Stadium

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the appearance of Malaysian music icon Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza. Her powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence served as the grand finale, sending waves of excitement through the crowd. Participants who had just completed the 5km run were treated to a live performance that turned the stadium into a vibrant concert hall, highlighting the event’s unique ability to merge local cultural heritage with modern fitness trends.

Before the national songstress took the stage, the evening featured a dynamic lineup of rising and established Malaysian talents. Singer-songwriter Talitha. opened the show with her signature blend of indie-pop and R&B, setting a soulful yet upbeat tone for the arriving runners.

The energy was kept at a peak by Irene Catalina, whose dance tunes had the stadium grooving, and Subang-bred rapper Lil J, who engaged the crowd with his fast-paced hip-hop beats. Ensuring the momentum never faded, DJs from Jambu Jambu Asia and DJ No Yeti delivered high-energy sets that propelled the celebration late into the night.

For the organizers, Fresh Events Asia Sdn. Bhd., the success of The Music Run lies in its inclusivity and the safe, alcohol-free environment it provides for young Malaysians. Managing Director Jeff Ross noted that this year’s edition was the most electrifying yet, citing the phenomenal energy of the crowd and the growing sense of community among participants.
