Garmin Malaysia has unveiled the tactix 8, its next-generation tactical smartwatch designed for adventurers, athletes, and professionals who demand peak performance in the most challenging environments. Available in a rugged 51mm case size with AMOLED and solar options, the tactix 8 combines advanced tactical features, enhanced durability, and cutting-edge technology to keep users mission-ready on land, air, and sea.
Built for Extreme Conditions
The tactix 8 is built to U.S. military standards (MIL-STD-810) for thermal, shock, and water resistance, ensuring it can withstand the harshest conditions. With a 40-meter dive rating and leakproof buttons, the smartwatch is also designed for underwater adventures, making it a versatile tool for divers, hikers, and tactical professionals.
The watch offers exceptional battery life, with the AMOLED display providing up to 29 days in smartwatch mode and the solar model extending this to 48 days with its always-on display. This ensures users stay connected and prepared, even during extended missions.

Aviation and Jumpmaster Features
For aviators, the tactix 8 offers Direct-To-Navigation, allowing users to navigate to waypoints or nearby airports. It also provides access to aviation weather data, including NEXRAD radar, METARs, and TAFs.
The Jumpmaster feature supports HAHO, HALO, and Static jump types, with dual-positioning mode displaying two coordinate systems simultaneously for enhanced situational awareness.
