Garmin Malaysia announced last week the launch of the MARQ Carbon collection, a trio of luxury smartwatches crafted from Fused Carbon Fiber, a uniquely engineered material that is both strong and lightweight. The MARQ Carbon collection comprises the MARQ Athlete (Gen 2) – Carbon Edition and MARQ Golfer (Gen 2) – Carbon Edition, each of which is designed to help users pursue their passions with advanced training metrics, performance insights, and connected features.
Pinnacle of Design
The MARQ Carbon collection is the pinnacle of Garmin’s design philosophy, blending luxury and performance with a bold and modern aesthetic. Each timepiece features a 46mm watch case and bezel inlay machined from 130 layers of Fused Carbon Fiber, resulting in a remarkable surface featuring a beautiful spiral design pattern. The MARQ Carbon collection is also equipped with a brilliant AMOLED touchscreen display and domed sapphire lens for exceptional clarity and durability.

The MARQ Carbon collection is powered by Garmin’s latest Elevate Gen 4 sensor technology, which provides accurate heart rate and Pulse Ox measurements. The watches also feature a variety of advanced training metrics, including endurance score, hill score, and training readiness score, to help users track their progress and optimize their workouts.

A new shot dispersion chart quickly shows what hazards may be in play depending on the club choice, while the enhanced PlaysLike distance feature lets golfers know how far each shot is truly playing with yardage adjusted for elevation changes and environmental conditions. Golfers can also see the slope direction of the green on select courses right from their watch, and golf course maps now feature various biomes depending on the location of the course and provide added details like trees and cart paths.
Pricing and Availability
The MARQ Athlete (Gen 2) – Carbon Edition and MARQ Golfer (Gen 2) – Carbon Edition will be available from mid-December at Shopee, Lazada, AECO e-store, Garmin Brand Stores, and selected authorized retailers for a suggested retail price of RM15,399 and RM16,180, respectively.
