Kuala Lumpur – Garmin Malaysia has unveiled its latest lineup of rugged smartwatches, the Instinct 3 Series, designed for adventurers and fitness enthusiasts. The new series features AMOLED displays and solar charging options, offering enhanced durability, extended battery life, and a host of advanced features tailored for outdoor and sports activities. With prices starting at RM1,999, the Instinct 3 Series is set to hit the market in February 2025.

Rugged Design for the Adventurous
The Instinct 3 Series is built to withstand extreme conditions, featuring a metal-reinforced bezel, fiber-reinforced polymer case, and a scratch-resistant display. It meets MIL-STD 810 standards for thermal and shock resistance and is water-rated up to 100 meters. A standout feature is the built-in LED flashlight, available on all models, which offers variable intensities, a red light, and strobe mode—perfect for nighttime adventures like hiking, camping, or exploring caves.
The smartwatches come in two sizes (45mm and 50mm) and a variety of colors, including sleek options like Black and Black/Charcoal, as well as vibrant choices like Neotropic and Neotropic/Twilight from the limited-edition Tropical Pulse Collection.

Enhanced Battery Life and Solar Efficiency
One of the key highlights of the Instinct 3 Series is its impressive battery life. The AMOLED models can last up to 24 days in smartwatch mode on a single charge, while the solar charging models offer unlimited battery life under optimal conditions. The 50mm Instinct 3 Solar boasts five times the battery life in GPS mode compared to its predecessor, the Instinct 2 Solar, thanks to a larger and more efficient solar lens.

Advanced Health and Fitness Tracking
The Instinct 3 Series is packed with features to support an active lifestyle. It offers 24/7 health monitoring, including heart rate tracking, advanced sleep analysis, Pulse Ox monitoring, and HRV (Heart Rate Variability) status. Women can also benefit from women’s health tracking, which includes menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking, along with tailored exercise and nutrition insights.
For fitness enthusiasts, the smartwatch includes built-in sports apps for activities like hiking, running, cycling, skiing, and more. It also supports Garmin Coach adaptive training plans for running and cycling, providing personalized workouts to help users achieve their fitness goals. The Morning Report feature offers a daily summary of sleep quality, HRV status, and calendar events, helping users start their day informed.

Smart Features for Everyday Use
The Instinct 3 Series keeps users connected with smart notifications for emails, texts, and alerts when paired with a compatible smartphone. It also supports Garmin Messenger for two-way text messaging and Garmin Pay for contactless payments. For outdoor navigation, the smartwatch features multi-band GPS with SatIQ for superior positioning accuracy and TracBack routing to guide users back to their starting point.
