This grueling yet exhilarating event offers a range of distances to choose from. Experienced swimmers can test their limits in the full 10km “Oceanman” swim, while those seeking a slightly shorter challenge can opt for the 5km “Half Oceanman” or the 2km “Sprint” swim. Teams can participate in the 3.5km “Ocean Teams” relay, while budding young athletes can get a taste of the open water in the 500m “Ocean Kids” swim.

The venue for this epic competition is none other than Long Beach, also known as Bai Dai in Vietnamese. It’s no wonder it’s considered one of the most stunning beaches in all of Asia.

Established in 2015, Oceanman has already made waves in 19 breathtaking locations worldwide, including Bali, Thailand, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and beyond. This year marks the second time Vietnam will host the competition, following a successful event in Cam Ranh in 2023.

Adding a local touch to the competition are Alma’s very own lifeguards, Van Hien and Le Van Thao. These skilled individuals, who have been with Alma since 2019 and 2022 respectively, will be putting their endurance to the test by participating in the “Half Oceanman” event.

“Our partnership with Oceanman offers an unparalleled setting for the event,” says Alma’s managing director, Herbert Laubichler-Pichler. “The resort’s spacious grounds and beachfront location perfectly embody Vietnam’s growing reputation as a premier tourist destination.”
