Kuala Lumpur, 20 November 2023 – The inaugural 3V3 TotalEnergies x Li-Ning Cup 2023 came to a thrilling conclusion at Sunway Velocity Mall in Kuala Lumpur, marking a resounding success for the first-ever 3v3 badminton tournament organized by TotalEnergies Malaysia and Li-Ning Malaysia.
Over two days, 18-19 November, a total of 31 teams from KL, Johor, and Penang battled it out for a chance to win a total prize pool of RM150,800 in cash and exclusive merchandise. The tournament showcased the passion, skill, and determination of badminton enthusiasts from across Malaysia.
Adding star power to the event was the presence of badminton legends Tan Boon Heong and Goh Liu Ying. They joined Jennifer Li, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Malaysia, Dato Sri Sam Soh, Director of Sunlight Sports, and Simon Soh, Business Development Head of Li-Ning Malaysia, in officiating the closing ceremony of the 3V3 TotalEnergies x Li-Ning Cup 2023.
Over 30 Teams from KL, Johor, and Penang Battle for Top Honors
Jennifer Li expressed her delight at the success of the tournament, stating, “Badminton is a deeply ingrained part of Malaysian culture, and it was truly inspiring to witness the talent and passion of the over 100 teams that participated in this tournament.”
She further elaborated on the alignment between badminton and TotalEnergies’ core values, emphasizing the company’s commitment to supporting sports excellence and promoting healthy lifestyles. She also expressed gratitude to Li-Ning Malaysia for their partnership in organizing the event.
